Summary of the results
As part of the settled initiative, two 10-day educational camps for Ukrainian refugees with children have been realized. The first one was attended by 21 women and 36 children, and the second one - 21 women and 33 children. Both camps took place in the "Sosnowe Zacisze" center in Barszczewo, near Białystok. They followed the same organizational pattern:
- classes for mothers (in four areas: personal development, fight against stress, assertiveness and building self-esteem);
- animations and workshops for children (three age groups, alternating in three different themes: art, music and theater and sports and movement);
- consultations with a psychologist-traumatologist for mothers;
- Three trips (Białystok, Tykocin and Supraśl) with numerous attractions;
- A number of activities in the resort and in its vicinity (physical activities, Nordic walking, theme walks, communing with nature, etc.)
The received feedback leads to the conclusion that for many of its participants it was one of the best periods of recent years, with particular emphasis on the time of war in Ukraine. The participants also emphasized this in numerous interviews (in the press, radio and television). The project allowed participants (both adults and children) to strengthen themselves physically and mentally in a difficult time of refugee.
