Summary of bilateral results

The main benefit of having a partner from an institution in the Donor States was primarily cultural exchange and understanding the processes related to the specifics of nutrition in educational institutions in Norway. The partner and the institutions we met during the study visit acquainted us with the Norwegian approach to nutrition in kindergartens and schools and with the education of children related to healthy eating. Particularly valuable was the meeting at Utdanningsetaten (Norwegian Educational Agency) in Oslo with Mr. John Wærnes Johansen, who is responsible for leading the department in charge of education and implementing the nutrition program in Norwegian educational institutions. The best practices and practical approach to nutritional education that we learned during the meeting at Geitmyra Matkultursenter for Barn will be used in the education process in our educational institutions. Institutions from the Donor States expressed their willingness to expand cooperation and participate in projects for which we may be able to obtain funding in the future.
