Summary of project results

As part of the project, an innovative educational module was developed and introduced into the curriculum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. This module aimed to equip both students and indirect target groups with the skills and competencies necessary to understand the surrounding world and to promote humanistic attitudes that ensure well-being, social cohesion, and dignified living conditions for the entire human community. The project successfully invited artists and curators whose work focuses on the intersection of art and activism for tolerance, feminism, antifascism, antiracism, and environmental protection. The program was a proposal for a critical analysis of the contemporary art system, as well as a call for its restructuring from the earliest stage: at the art academy. This proposal was based on the idea of "evacuating" art beyond existing conventions, definitions, and habits

The lasting results of the project include: a curriculum syllabus (RPI 01), a handbook (RPI 02), which ultimately took the form of a publicly accessible website (endospory.asp.katowice.pl), where examples of artistic practices developing "beyond art" can be found, expanding the understanding of art and its boundaries: theoretical texts, practical exercises, and video lectures (RPI 03). These resources are an attempt to understand the role that artists can play in times of social and planetary changes.

The program received very positive feedback, and its goals directly aligned with the academy''s development strategy, which aims to build a flexible and responsive educational model, open to the context of relationships with society, creativity as a tool of democracy, and the envisioning of alternative models of reality and social perspectives. The implementation of the project initiated discussions on changes in the structure and teaching methods at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design  in Katowice, and also contributed to the perception of our Academy as an open, modern institution, sensitive to contemporary world issues and focused on participatory actions. The educational module developed within the project will be permanently integrated into the curriculum and available to students of future cohorts. The results developed within the project will continue to be intensively promoted and available to a wide audience. All materials posted on the project website will be updated and available under open Creative Commons licenses.
