Description
Due to climate changes, there have been significant weather modifications during the last decade. Hot summer weather has caused increased need for drinking water. There are already approximately 30 free public drinking water taps in Tallinn, but there are still several popular public places where there is no access to drinking water if instantly needed.
At least 15 new public drinking water taps will be constructed within the current project. Location of the taps will be selected on the basis of the density and nature of movements of people and also the distance from other public drinking water tap. In perspective, it is planned that a free public drinking water tap should be in walking distance from every spot of Tallinn. The current project would help to reach this target and would hopefully contribute to bolster people’s movement habits by encouraging them to walk and cycle.
The main target group of the project are inhabitants, tourists and guest of Tallinn.

With this project 15 public free drinking water taps have been installed in Tallinn. This helps pedestrians and cyclists (also animals as there is a bowl for that also) to relieve thurst during hot weather.
In perspective it is planned that a free public drinking water tap is in walking distance from every spot of Tallinn. The current project helps to reach the target and will contribute on people’s movement habits encouraging them to walk and cycle.
