Summary of the results
Prior to the implementation of the initiative, we set out four key outcomes that we wanted to achieve through bilateral cooperation using good practice and the experience of HIV Norge: the joint workshop "Joint chemsex harm reduction intervention" which took place on 20 September 2023, the Harm Reduction Kit which was created by consensus of all participants (the HR kit for chemsex users is an information and awareness material "Every game has its rules: Hepatitis C") and a manual for the peer to peer programme "How to be a good peer" which was produced in English (it contains basic information on how to provide peer support and includes the principles of peer-client communication.
We see this initiative as one of the ways to strengthen the role of patient organisations, to increase the effectiveness of their services and to move the system closer to equalisation of the rights of the health disadvantaged, within the limits of their possibilities, through examples of good practice from abroad. Already during the implementation of the initiative, beyond the planned activities, a CSAP representative was invited to a conference on chemsex in Oslo. We would like to further develop our cooperation, especially in the field of transferring examples of good practice, not only in the field of harm reduction and spread of infections such as HIV, HCV, HBV, but also in the field of comprehensive care for people living with HIV.
