Taking into account that the Covid-19 pandemic and the travelling restrictions still have effect on the possibility to carry out face-to-face study visits, the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Arts Council Norway will organize an online match-making event - planned in the end of November 2021 (tentative dates are 29th and 30th of November). (Actually happened at January 19, 2022.) Matchmaking event is intended for developing new partnerships in the area of culture between organizations/cultural actors from Latvia and Donor States.

The event will be organized with the same approach

Summary of the results

During the online match-making event new partnerships were being built between 7 organizations (11 persons) from Latvia and 10 organizations (10 persons) from Norway.

At the begining of the online match-making event there was information about the EEA Grants Culture programme in Latvia presented, then was presentation from the Latvian School Bag about best practices and challenges in providing cultural experiences for children and youth, as well as presentation from the Kulturtanken (Norwegian School Bag) about what''s up in arts and culture for children and youth. After that all participants were getting to know each other. In addition for Norwegian organizations it was possible to get acquainted with rough project ideas from Latvian organizations in advance as before the match-making event through e-mail they received compendium of profiles with Latvian organizations who were searching for partners. After introducing each other, there was time for breakout rooms were participants with similar interests were put together in the thematic groups and were possible to talk with each other about possible partnership, project ideas etc., after that also free time to talk to each other 1:1 was organized, thus bilateral cooperation was strenthened. Most of participants evaluated match-making event as valuable.

As a result, one project application was submitted (direct match) and 7 project applications were submitted as a result of networking connected to matchmaking event.
