Summary of the results

The outcomes planned in the application were achieved. The main result of the initiative is a research report that provides a unique and up-to-date assessment of the lifecycle of wood from the forest through wood-based products to its disposal/end of life in Czechia from a circular bioeconomy perspective. It assesses the current status of the sector, outlines the EU and national policy environment, identifies current problem areas, sets out circular economy solutions and examples of best practice and provides policy recommendations to facilitate implementation of the proposed solutions. The study is available on the INCIEN website. The Czech version has also been printed for distribution to policy makers and other sector organisations (funded from other financial sources).
