Description
The initiative “Wellbeing School” is focused on mutual exchange of experiences and transfer of good practice in the field of pedagogical leadership with an impact on the wellbeing of teachers and pupils in vocational and grammar schools. The aim will be reached by two internships of school leaders and experts (4 Norwegian representatives to the Czech Republic, 4 Czech representatives to Norway). Together they will create a good practice example in the field of pedagogical leadership. Each group will disseminate their experience from internships to their colleagues at workshops afterwards.
Summary of the results
By implementing the initiative, all partners were enriched with experiences from the visited schools, mutual discussions, which always lasted a very long time, and the interns tried to learn mainly things that they could apply in their schools and regions. For example, the Norwegian partners were interested in the work of classroom teachers in Czech education, how a classroom teacher can contribute to improving well-being, school equipment in relation to WB and the way schools are financed, conditions for the work of principals and management. The Czech interns were mainly interested in the system of support services and professions in Norwegian schools, the work of management and its support from the Ministry, the equipment of schools and the way and methods of inclusion, especially of pupils from an immigrant background. The partners developed together an example of best practice, which they used to present in their schools and to their colleagues from other schools. The Czech partners especially appreciated the material for the self-evaluation of the teacher''s own practice, which is also applicable for collegial support between teachers and for the hospitality activities of school management. During the mutual visits, personal ties and friendships were formed, which will be used in future projects - for example, ERASMUS+ or in possible other calls from Norwegian funds.
