Our project " Step forward" will be carried out on August 21-31, 2022 in Rumia. The project participants will be 20 women (mothers) and 25 children. Adults are 26-40 years old, children 3-9 years old. The aim of our activities is social integration and professional activation of workshop participants. We will use non-formal education methods in the project. Activities carried out under the project will contribute to a more efficient functioning in the local environment, increase the chance of getting a job, and thus improve the socio-economic situation of the project participants. The project

Summary of the results

The initiative included a 10-day workshop aimed at shaping and improving the competencies of Ukrainian participants in the project - mothers with children. They were residents of Malopolska and Podkarpacie, the vast majority were economically and socially disadvantaged. In addition, there were 2 people with disabilities in the group. The objectives were fully realized, the project found time for acquiring knowledge and skills and a moment of relaxation and rest. The project was characterized by a high level of commitment on the part of participants, staff involved in the project and experts invited to participate in the project. The evaluation questionnaires collected from the participants emphasized the good atmosphere in the group, the high level of the experts and their transfer of practical knowledge, the acquisition of information needed for daily functioning in social and professional life, and the acquisition of skills for dealing with trauma (workshops with a psychotherapist). The workshops were also an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences among the participants themselves - this was facilitated by evening meetings around the campfire and joint walks. Activities for children were of an integrative and educational nature. Activities for children were carried out in two age groups of 3-6 and 6-10 years. The activities were art, language, music and sports.
