The aim of it is popularization of research and scientific cooperation in the Arctic. The festival shall take place in Iceland in September 2022 and shall contain popular scientific conference, joint CZ-Nordic (Norwegian and Icelandic) music festival, several exhibitions, lectures and 4-day film festival.
Summary of the results
The Arctic Festival 2022 was the follow-up of all previous Arctic Festivals, both in the scientific and cultural areas, this time in Iceland. The programme traditionally consisted of a scientific-cultural conference and cultural events (film screenings - both documentaries and feature films and both for children and adults - art and scientific exhibitions, concerts, performances, etc.). The public and all interested people in Iceland had the possibility to enjoy scientific lectures both in Akureyri (UNAK) and Reykjavík (AUI), and the unique art from Czechia, Norway and Iceland at AUI, Idnó Theatre, Gaukurinn Club, 12 Tónar and Bíó Paradís. The Arctic fFestival was a 4-days event, 15-18/9/2022.
The already existing cooperation between the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (CZU) and the Agricultural University of Iceland in Reykjavík (AUI) was deepened. New cooperation started between CZU and the CICERO Institute in Oslo and The Nordic Association in Iceland (NORDEN). New cooperation started between the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (USB) and AUI and the University of Akureyri (UNAK).
The gained results/knowledge, deepened cooperation and acquired new contacts between Czech and Donor States participants of AF 2022 will be utilised and used in future joint scientific and cultural projects.
