Summary of project results
The project was necessary due to the dilapidated condition and lack of tourist attraction of the Trinitarian monastery together with the Church of the Visitation of St. Mary in Zašová, which is a uniquely protected complex and is the only preserved Trinitarian monastery in the Czech Republic. The main challenge of the municipality was to renew and support public interest in the monument and to find new effective ways of presenting it.
In the project, the municipality of Zašová implemented the following activities:1. Creation of a digital mobile game with augmented reality – The game introduces visitors to the history of the Trinitarian order and its importance in a fun way.2. Organization of educational events – Lectures on the history of the village and the Trinitarian monastery in Zašová brought closer the uniqueness and importance of the cultural heritage.3. Development of marketing tools – New websites, profiles on social networks and created printed materials – inform the public not only during the implementation of the project. New visual identity of the monastery is used for communication with the public, which corresponds to the meaning of cultural heritage in a modern concept and helps to correctly target groups.4.Strengthening of international cooperation – Organized seminars and exchange business trips between the municipality and a foreign partner to the sharing of knowledge and mutual understanding.
The main output of the project is the created digital mobile game with augmented reality called "Zašová – the story of the Trinitarian", which presents its history in an entertaining way. The planned result was to achieve an indicator of 10,000 visitors for the monitored period, which the municipality managed to fulfill. The situation has therefore improved due to higher tourist activity. The unintended effect is to strengthen community belonging and raise awareness of regional
heritage.
