Description
The Roma community has a lower level of schooling, a higher level of illiteracy, a higher dropout rate, a lower presence of Roma students in higher education and generally less school success. The project will run in five partner schools in Sibiu county, with a minimum of 20% of Roma pupils. The target groups of the project are teachers from partner schools working with Roma children, 70 parents (Roma and non-Roma) of pupils involved in anti-discrimination learning/awareness activities, workshops, community education and minimum 200 pupils who will be involved in inclusion awareness activities. The indirect target group of the project is composed of national and international NGOs, national public authorities, mainstream media representatives, and public at large.
The final report of the project will be published in Open Access, including a methodological support and toolbox included in the Guide Against Antigypsism containing our valuable findings of the project as well as our recommendations for the wide public, for parents and for practitioners in relevant fields: educators, cultural mediators, teachers, professors, social workers, psychologists, police officers, probation officers, policy makers, NGO representatives.
