Description

The project concerns the establishment of a Physiotherapy Centre providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to geriatric and disabled patients who suffer from neurological diseases primarily resulting from strokes and hemorrhages, where rehabilitation must be initiated as soon as possible.

The project can be divided into two phases:

1. Development phase - to elaborate, in cooperation with the research and development unit, innovative preventive and therapeutic procedures for persons with mobility dysfunctions, intended to improve their psychophysical fitness and the standard of living.

2. Implementation phase - to introduce to the market/commercialise the services developed. This phase will include the construction of the Physiotherapy Centre and fitting it out with medical and rehabilitation equipment. Also, changes will be introduced in the company aimed at modifying the physiotherapeutic approach and staff management.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to develop and implement new methods of prevention and therapy for individuals with musculoskeletal system dysfunctions. It focused on utilizing the latest knowledge and technology to create more efficient and effective treatment methods that were previously unavailable in Poland. By doing so, the company FIZJOMED planned to distinguish itself in the regional and national market by introducing innovations that would make the company a leader in the rehabilitation industry. The goal was to offer unique services not present among competitors, which would directly impact the company''s development potential.

One of the main objectives of the project was to expand operations into new markets, both locally and internationally. This was intended to enable the company to reach new, more demanding clients, which in turn would contribute to increased revenue and profits. Research and development were crucial for creating more effective therapeutic procedures. These new algorithms aimed to improve patients'' psychophysical fitness and enhance their quality of life, which was one of the project''s primary goals.

The implementation of research results required the purchase of specialized equipment and materials that would allow for rehabilitation procedures at the highest possible level. This would enable FIZJOMED to offer services that set the company apart from the competition, while also providing better therapeutic outcomes for patients. As a result, the project contributed to increasing the company''s competitiveness in the market. Introducing pioneering treatment methods and innovative solutions aimed to position FIZJOMED as a leader in the rehabilitation industry, bold and willing to implement changes and set new service standards.

The project also involved collaboration with a specialized research unit that had the necessary equipment, experience, and scientific staff to conduct the research. This made it possible to develop innovative solutions that would significantly improve the treatment process for patients with musculoskeletal system dysfunctions. The project''s realization had a direct impact on the company''s development potential, increasing its competitiveness and enabling the expansion into new markets. It was planned that within three years of implementing the results of research and development work, the company''s revenue would at least double, highlighting the ambitious goals of the project and its potential impact on the company''s future.

As part of the project, the following tasks were completed:

Task 1: Research Phase - Implementation of Development Work: Development of an Innovative Modification of Preventive and Therapeutic Procedures for Individuals with Musculoskeletal System Dysfunctions

The implementation of this task included conducting research and development work involving innovative modifications of preventive and therapeutic procedures for individuals with musculoskeletal system dysfunctions. The research aimed to utilize the latest knowledge and skills to develop innovative solutions in the field of prevention and therapy for the musculoskeletal system, as well as to introduce significant improvements in therapeutic algorithms to enhance psychophysical efficiency and quality of life.

The results of the research provided the basis for incorporating a comprehensive rehabilitation service for patients affected by neurological diseases, using innovative devices, into the company''s offerings.

Based on the knowledge obtained during the R&D work in collaboration with the Silesian Academy, diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational procedures were developed. The innovative treatment method, based on parameter analysis using the latest technologies, significantly supports the recovery process of patients. A model of multifaceted, modern rehabilitation for elderly individuals was created, based on existing knowledge of therapeutic procedures and new knowledge obtained from research conducted as part of the project.

Previously, no modern and comprehensive rehabilitation service had been created for patients affected by neurological diseases, combining classic physiotherapy methods, a hyperbaric chamber, and modern technologies.

The innovations resulting from the project are novel both in the Polish market and globally, and they do not exist in the offerings of competitors.

Task 2: Implementation Phase - Purchase of Materials and Construction Works to Create an Innovative Rehabilitation Center

The purchase of construction works and materials allowed for the creation of the necessary infrastructure to establish a modern rehabilitation center for individuals with neurological conditions.

Task 3: Implementation Phase - Purchase of Fixed Assets

The purchase of equipment and furnishings led to the implementation of product and process innovations developed during the R&D work.

The implementation of the project led to the introduction of both product and process innovations. The endeavor was based on the introduction of innovative processes and technologies acquired through the latest equipment on the market.

The product aspect involved the introduction of a new, comprehensive rehabilitation service for geriatric patients using innovative devices, while the process aspect involved the implementation of the service, characterized by changes in the physiotherapeutic approach within the facility and changes in personnel management. The therapy/treatment implemented by the company was particularly significant as it directly concerned neurological patients who had experienced early strokes, where rehabilitation had to be initiated as soon as possible. The use of new equipment acquired through the project provided significant control over the conducted therapy.

The product innovation included the creation of a comprehensive rehabilitation program based on the use of innovative devices, utilizing the results of R&D work conducted in collaboration with the Silesian Academy. The product innovation, in the context of the new service directly resulting from the project, was a medical service that significantly supported the recovery process of patients by analyzing parameters using the latest technologies. A model of multifaceted, modern rehabilitation for elderly individuals was created, based on existing knowledge of therapeutic procedures and new knowledge obtained from the research conducted as part of the project.

The project was aimed at individuals with strokes, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and other neurological problems requiring immediate and effective rehabilitation. Thanks to innovative methods and modern equipment, the rehabilitation could be conducted at the highest level, significantly increasing the patients'' chances of returning to full fitness.
