Project improves the level of awareness about climate adaptation and mitigation among the pupils of secondary schools, as the future generation that will be forced to tackle the climate crisis, helping them to understand the climate agenda and preparing them to fight the climate crisis, starting the action within their communities reaching the global United Nations´ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Nr. 13 Climate Action - Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Project also targets the general public concentrated around secondary schools, like teachers, school staff, family, relatives and friends. Project reacts to the Sectoral concept of environmental education, training and awareness until 2025, the activities should focus on the environmental literacy, the ways how to solve the environmental issues, understand own responsibility, assess and communicate the current status of environment, and to reason the attitudes. The need is also supported by the Regional strategy of education and training at secondary schools in Košice region for 2021 – 2025. The project is the follow-up project of joint green activities realized within the consortium, like establishment of circular economy hub and joint manifest of transition towards circular economy in Košice region, or pilot demonstrations of effective food waste solutions at secondary schools´ canteens in Košice region have been implemented.
