Summary of project results

"Petre Baniță" Călărași Technological High School implemented the "Eurostagii Practice" project, a project in the field of professional and technical education that was necessary both for the school unit and for our partner S.C. MIROSERV PANIF S.R.L.. Through this project we wanted to stimulate the development of professional and technical education in the area, especially the practical training activity which is deficient at the level of the school unit, the teaching staff needing training through the application of modern methods and through examples of good practices .In our school unit, the training and practical training teachers use methods not adapted to the educational needs of VET students. The lack of didactic materials, practical training guides as well as educational platforms make it difficult to conduct practice classes, not being attractive for students. From the students'' point of view, there are the following difficulties:1. Lack of interest in acquiring professional skills, a large part of them dropping out of school to work abroad;2. Many students believe that in school they receive more theoretical than practical training, not being adapted to the labor market;3. Most of the students, being commuters from the surrounding towns, encounter difficulties in collaborating and forming work teams showing a deficit in social behavior. From the discussions with the partner economic agent, the following problems were identified in the running of the internships: the lack of a person with a pedagogical training in the professional training of students, the appointed persons not knowing their responsibilities by organizing the internships in partnership with the school; the lack of real cooperation between the economic agent and VET teachers in the organization of quality internships.

In order to achieve the objectives proposed in the project, were carried out the following activities:- Informing teachers and members of the local community about the implementation of the project;- The project implementation team was appointed;- The Participant Selection Methodology was carried out;- The 12 persons designated to participate in the project were validated in the Board of Directors of the school unit;- Linguistic training was carried out and the project documents were drawn up: Europass Mobility and the Training Agreement;- The study visit to the partner in Cyprus was carried out;- Project products were created and project results were disseminated.Through this project, 8 VET teachers improved their professional skills in carrying out internships. Upon returning from the study visit, they promoted the experience gained at the partners in Cyprus and actively participated in the creation of the products from the project. The English teacher developed his team communication skills and cultural competences during the visit as well as modern didactic skills based on demonstration activities identifying terms specific to the field of the food industry. The deputy director present at the study visit improved his collaboration strategy with economic agents for practical partnerships corresponding to the labor market. All the objectives of the project achieved their goal, having a positive impact on all the teaching staff participating in the study visit, implicitly on the other teaching staff, the students and the local community. By presenting the final products on the school''s website, the quality of the internships was improved, the real long-term impact gradually being felt at the level of our institution. In the CDLs and practice contracts developed and approved for the 2023-2024 school year, innovative elements observed at the economic agents during the study visit were introduced.

The objectives were achieved and all the proposed results were achieved, at a satisfactory level of quality. The following results were obtained:
• All 10 teachers participating in the study visit declared that they developed skills/competences.
• The 2 representatives of the partner economic agent participating in the study visit declared that they have developed skills regarding the organization of students'' internships.
• A total of 12 people participated in the study visit.
• There are 41 Roma students in the school, 6.44% of the total number (637) of students.
•    They were achieved :
o 2 Local Development curricula for the students work based learning,
o 2 practical training partnerships with new economic agents,
o 2 practice notebooks,
o 1 English-Romanian dictionary of technical terms.
• 40 students (36.36%), out of the total number of 110 students in the VET classes, declared that they obtained better learning results during the internships than in previous years.
The project led to the improvement of the applicant''s collaboration capacity at the European level and at. continuing cooperation with transnational partners. The project activities were carried out as presented in the application.

The impact of the project will also be felt at the international level by maintaining partnership relations with current partners and creating new partnerships, through partnership agreements concluded with foreign partners. The impact of the project will be felt in the long term and by the fact that more and more students who will participate in the internships carried out in collaboration between school and economic agents will be much better prepared for the labor market.
