The result of the task will be the qualitative development of competences and skills of students who will be educated by teachers prepared for the challenges of economy 4.0.

Summary of project results

The project "Guide 4.0 - how to develop competences of the future" responded to the lack of a comprehensive methodology for developing competences and professions of the future in the Polish educational space. It was carried out in cooperation with the Future Industry Platform Foundation (FPPP) and International Development Norway (IDN); and was a response to the current challenges of the 4.0 economy. In the context of the educational space in Poland, there was a lack of a comprehensive education methodology adapted to the needs of the 4.0 economy. The lack of standardization made it difficult for teachers and students to identify and develop key competencies. The project was intended to fill this gap by creating an innovative educational tool.

The main result was the creation of "Guide 4.0" - an interactive tool that allowed teachers to map students'' competences in the context of the needs of the future labor market. An online training course for teachers was also developed, integrating modern teaching approaches such as the use of digital tools, artificial intelligence and robotics. Teachers received tools thanks to which they can develop students'' skills more effectively, and they, in turn, can be better prepared for new professional challenges.

The implementation of the project is of strategic importance for the competitiveness of the Polish economy. The long-term impact includes preparing the young generation for the new economic reality, enabling them to acquire competences consistent with the needs of the labor market. The project is also a response to global challenges such as digital transformation and sustainable development, which have been considered key in government strategies. In short, the "Guide 4.0" project represents a milestone in the modernization of the education system, creating the foundations for future student success and the competitiveness of Polish society.

Summary of bilateral results

The participation of institution from the Donor States, enabled us to take advantage of the most modern and best educational practices in the field of future competence education, which we could then implement in the implementation of our results of intellectual work. Developing them without the participation of a partner organization could have resulted in their lower quality or the omission of aspects that are already in place in the Norwegian education system.IDN implements projects related to innovation development, green technologies, digital transformation of regions and companies (with a strong focus on inclusive development through knowledge transfer and dissemination); therefore, by including this organization in the project, we had access to materials developed by its experts and the sources they use in their daily work. In addition, we raised the competence of our staff due to the possibility of exchanging knowledge and mutual monitoring of the quality of the proposed and developed results. We plan to continue bilateral cooperation not only through the implementation of projects, but also through constant contact especially from the experts of both our organizations.
