The aim of the project is to build a social consensus for the development of career counselling for people with special needs in Lublin Voivodeship through developing cooperation between entities providing education for people with special needs, strengthening the potential of entities and career counsellors providing education for people with special needs, increasing access to free career counselling services, promoting best practices in the field of career counselling for people with special needs.

The project activities are:
-exchange of experiences and practices,
-analysis of the national and regional context,
-adaptation of the Icelandic system of career counsellors’ education and career counselling tools dedicated to people with special needs (NEETs) to the conditions of Lublin Voivodeship, along with the establishment of the Agreement on Educational Institutions to Support People with Special Needs,
- workshops on the use of developed work tools for career counsellors,
-promotion and implementation of the project: on-line conference as well as creation and updating of the internet portal.

Participants:
• direct ones: career counsellors working with NEETs, career and school counsellors, institutions supporting NEETs (NGOs, employment services, etc.)
• indirect ones: NEETs (from disadvantaged backgrounds, with breaks in education and with difficult access to education) from the Lublin Voivodeship.

Results:
-adaptation of the Icelandic system of career counsellors’ education and career counselling tools dedicated to people with special needs (NEETs) to the specifics of Lublin Voivodeship,
-establishment of the Agreement on Educational Institutions to Support People with Special Needs and the preparation of a long-term development plan for the Agreement,
-creating and updating an internet portal - communication platform for the exchange of career counsellors’ experiences.

Summary of project results

Project needs and challenges:

1. High youth unemployment - this problem
exists in Poland, lack of access to work, education or training leads to the marginalization of this social group.

2.Low qualifications - Neets youth often have low professional qualifications. which makes it difficult for them to enter the labor market. Lack
Experience is a serious obstacle.

3. Social problems  - pers. Neets are exposed to various social problems,
such as social exclusion, poverty, health problems.

and work tools for 10 career advisors4. promotion and implementation of the project: online conference, creation
internet portalsthe project raised the level of incl. 10 professional advisors thanks to training conducted by 4
Icelandic experts, thanks to cooperation with Mr. Iceland, advisors could become acquainted with new effective
methods and work tools to support NEETs (innovative approach). 

The project enabled the development of more
personalized support strategies that better suit the individual. NEETS . Pr. contributed to
developing standards and procedures that can be used on a wide scale, improving the overall quality of services
advisory services in the country (1. Increasing the quality of advisory services). 2. Permanent improvement of life situation ´ j Neets through
effective support for adults incl. will lead to an improvement in the situation. life and professional life (finding a job, integration
social), reducing unemployment in this group, which has a positive impact on society and the economy. ´
An example for other regions (model support), Changes in the education system (integration of a new model
Icelandic), International cooperation - the project emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in education and
vocational training that brings lasting benefits to Neets and society as a whole and international initiatives

Summary of bilateral results

1Improving knowledge and understanding of the issue, i.e. Increasing awareness of Neets'' problems: the project contributed to deepening knowledge about the specific challenges faced by Neets youth. The Polish and Icelandic sides could better understand the social and economic context that affects this group. Exchange of specialist knowledge - thanks to workshops, meetings, career advisors and other people involved in the project could exchange knowledge about effective methods of working with young people Neets 2, Strengthening competences career advisors - Increasing qualifications. Career counselors from Poland had the opportunity to participate in a monitoring visit to Iceland. During the workshops, they learned new working methods of the Icelandic model, diagnostic tools, and motivational techniques that can be used in everyday work with Neets. Development of practical skills. Practical workshop sessions and case studies allowed advisors to gain practical skills that they can directly apply to their work, leading to effective Neets support. 3. Development of international partnership - Strengthening bilateral relations: cooperation with the Partner enabled the building of lasting relationships, which may be the basis for the implementation of future projects and initiatives. Both sides were able to establish contacts that will be helpful in further international cooperation. The project contributed to the creation of a partnership support network in which advisors and experts can share experiences and best practices. 4. Effects of the partnership with Iceland Adaptation of Icelandic solutions in Poland - thanks to the partnership, some methods and tools used in Iceland could be adapted and implemented in Poland. Raising the standards of consulting services - more effective and modern methods of working with Neets. Maintaining regular contacts and planning joint initiatives that will develop and continue the achieved results. Constant exchange of common practices
