Description

The project proposal reacts to specific needs of socially segregated pre-school children in Javornik. The aim of this project is to give them the chance to live in the natural environment of their families and lower the number of the children who are not given proper education in the mainstream school system and who are forced to attend special school. To change this situation we would like to provide the children with educational free time activities which are built on modern educational methods and which we will adjust to specifics of local segregation and environment.

Summary of project results

The project completed a comprehensive work with families at risk of social exclusion is a key part - working with preschool children and family support in the area of education. Work with children quite key for the positive development of society and the advancement of the situation of families that generation cycles in the consequences of social exclusion. Activities also partly solves the problem of shortage of pre-school care with the necessary facilities and competent personnel for children with special needs. Outputs of project: the methodology of care for children with special needs with key information for adults who work with children; educational Equipments (10 kinds) with a self-check function according to consultation with experts on preschool education and modern education (these are tools for development of social skills, communication and language, mathematics and logic, self-care and creativity); regular direct care of children in creating a foundation with utilities in accordance with the methodology; and strengthening capacities of organizations by educating workers under the expert guidance of project partner focused on direct care for children, communicating with parents and developmental stages of children. The aim of the project was to create high-quality facilities with educative character for the care of pre-school children with special needs. The project helped the organization to convince parents that preschool education is the key to good child development and involve them in the whole process of active care for children. The project helped to create background for childcare, where the beneficiary will build a nursery care and kindergarden.
