Intensive training responds to the need for change in teaching, to move away from lecture during lesson to active methods in which teacher tries to organise the teaching process and not to dominate it. The training will take the form of a workshop, very practical, so that individual activities can be used immediately in lessons. An important value of these training will be the aspect related to well-being, i.e. building mental resilience, looking at people and their needs in a holistic way, how to deal with stress, how to build relationships, take care of health and physical activity. The pandemic and isolation of students/teachers as a result of remote learning cause huge deficiencies in the aspect of well-being, so the subject of the training is in line with the priorities on which the Polish school will be working in the coming months.
Summary of project results
As part of the project "Teacher as an agent of change", the form of training was changed in the face of the pandemic situation in the world. The training was held on-line on the zoom platform. There were 5 online meetings where Norwegian trainers conducted intensive training using the MIRO platform. The "Teacher as a change agent" training was a response to the need to change the methods of working with a young person. During the workshops, classes were conducted based on project work, facilitation techniques in group processes, and learning by doing techniques were used. An additional advantage of the training was online work, where in view of the prevailing pandemic situation and the need to work remotely with young people, it was a valuable aspect of the workshop. The course focused in particular on facilitation in the education system and interdisciplinary work, experiential ways of learning, creativity and learning by doing. The training brought a new look at the sustainable development of a young person. The participants improved their teaching, substantive and linguistic competences. Training participants became multipliers of acquired skills among other employees of participating institutions.
