More information
Description
The aim of the project is to automate the production process, with the manufacture of new products and improved production performance, thus making SIA EHT FABRIK more productive and competitive.
Under the auspices of the project, the following activities are planned:
1. Acquisition of new machinery;
2. Measures related to the introduction into production of a new product and technology.
As a result of the project, the enterprise will acquire two automated production machines: a high-precision robotic bending press and welding robot in order to be able to offer metal components on the market and metal housing with high precision and assembly requirements, directly to companies in the electronics and optical industries. Automated production processes will ensure that production processes are repeatable, in accordance with the high set requirements, as well as providing the required volumes for 1‒5000 units consumed in Europe.
Summary of project results
The company did not face any problems during the project implementation process.
The project promoter successfully automated the production process, providing new services (a new product) and improved production performance, thus making SIA EHT FABRIK more productive and competitive. This is a digitalization and automation project in the area of ICT. Two automated manufacturing equipment were purchased - a high-precision robotic metal sheet bending press and a welding robot. These new types of equipment help the company become more competitive in terms of providing high-precision metal components and composition requirements being able to bring metal complexing elements into the market for the electronics and optics companies. Automated production processes will ensure repeatability and cost-efficient production processes complying with high-quality requirements. New pieces of equipment will help also provide services in the range of 1 - 5000 produced units.
As part of the project, the company installed two automated machines and completed a full training and testing cycle. The pinpoint precision of the machine manufacturers, namely Swiss and Japanese companies, ensures seamless repeating of the processes and greatly increases the productivity of the machines. The project contributed to the creation of 4 new jobs, 30% of exports (Scandinavia, Europe markets), as well as the automation of new production processes in the company to have a positive impact on nature by reducing CO2 emissions (561 tonnes/year) and electricity consumption (5,15 MWh/year).
