Description

In connection with many years of activity for people with disabilities and the desire to fully integrate them into social and professional life, as well as in response to the changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the needs of the labor market, i.e. the need to provide an appropriate number of qualified employees, the applicant sees the project as an opportunity to improve the quality and adjust the vocational education offer to the needs of the labor market, including remote education. The goal will be achieved through the improvement of career guidance, cooperation with employers and the development of the VET sector on the basis of cooperation with institutions from Iceland and Norway. The following will be prepared:
• method of career counseling (diagnosis of professional potential);
• standards of professional requirements and competences sought by employers and the procedure for validating education for clients in two professional sectors by developing two tools: a method of examining employers'' needs in terms of professional requirements and a validation method for clients (taking into account two stages of validation - before training and after training) ;
• two vocational training programs taking into account both the training needs of the target group and the diagnosed requirements of the labor market.
The prepared materials will be tested by 20 participants of 2 vocational trainings and 40 employers. The results of the project will be presented in a handbook taking into account WCAG standards. The tools will be made available to other institutions operating in similar areas - educational and vocational activation of people with disabilities - facilitating the implementation of a quality culture in VET and promoting equal opportunities and counteracting discrimination.

Summary of bilateral results

The involvement of institutions from the Donor States in the implementation of the project allowed for a broader perspective on the issues covered by the project. It was possible to exchange experiences and views in relation to the developed results. Thanks to this, they gained additional value, because they took into account the perspective of three countries with different cultures and experiences.
