Description

The project is aimed at improving the didactic and training potential of the Laboratory of Modern Electrical Apparatus at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology by developing course programs, educational materials and didactic resources related to modern electrical apparatus and Industry 4.0.
Currently, the Laboratory is equipped with facilities which are the result of prior cooperation with the Partner – the ABB company. The implementation of this project will help maintain this cooperation and further improve the educational potential.
The project will result in developing a comprehensive course program related to modern electrical apparatus and Industry 4.0, as well as in improving the didactic resources offered not only to students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, but also to students of high schools and technical high schools, researchers, employees of research centers and workers employed in industrial plants.
Modern electrical apparatus and Industry 4.0 are promising areas, expected to gain in popularity over the coming years. The participation in and the completion of the project will contribute to a significantly more attractive educational potential offered at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology as part of classes on Modern Electrical Apparatus.

All key outcomes contributing to the expansion of the educational-training base at the Laboratory of Modern Electrical Apparatus have been achieved. Here are the main project results:

Creation of a new educational-training base: The project led to the development of new educational models integrated with ABB equipment, including ABB Ability solutions. These modern models serve as valuable educational resources for students and professionals in the electro-energetics industry.

Adaptation of existing models: Existing models in the laboratory were enhanced to provide an even more comprehensive training experience. This improvement increases the educational value of the laboratory and allows for a more interactive and practical approach to learning.Development of instructions and a technical course program: The project contributed to the development of seven instructions and a technical course program, forming a comprehensive set of educational materials for participants. These instructions and course program assist in conducting effective sessions and provide structure for learning within the project.Collaboration with ABB: ABB, as a project partner, supplied devices and technical solutions for the educational-training base. This collaboration enabled the utilization of the latest technologies and tools available in the market, resulting in high-quality and up-to-date training. These outcomes have had a significant impact on the development of education in the field of modern electrical apparatus and Industry 4.0. The new models, instructions, and course programs allow for a personalized and interactive learning approach, integrating both soft skills and technical knowledge. This innovative approach prepares students and professionals for work in dynamic and collaborative industrial environments. The project focused on expanding the educational-training base at the Laboratory of Modern Electrical Apparatus and implementing an innovative educational model based on personalized education. The target audience of this project included not only students but also professionals in the electro-energetics industry, teachers from technical secondary schools, students from technical secondary schools, academic lecturers, and educators. The project also aimed to reach the residents of Wrocław through various outreach events. Following completion, this working model was implemented in the laboratory and continued through collaboration.
