Description
Project is needed to draw interest to problems related to climate changes and energy consumption and sustainability. Objective ist to develop local climate and energy plan for 2030 for Pärnu. Project outcome is expected to be a report on the current energy consumption, CO2 emissions and climate threats along with the strategy and action plan to tackle these issues and set goals for reducing greenhouse gas emission. We include expert group to help us with analysis and public seminars and goal setting. Main beneficiaries are the local authorities, and community as the awareness will rise and comparable targets for adapting to climate change and reducing greenhouse gas will be set. Ministry for the Environment and Natural Resources of Island has agreed to be partner in this process and contribute their competence and experience and in return learn about the challenges that one relatively small local authority faces when tackling climate and energy issues.

The Climate and ENergy plan for Pärnu City has been completed.
Summary of bilateral results
The Partner has improved the quality of the Climate and Energy plan with their knowledge and input to the plan. The Partner shared their experience through webinars and gave feedback to written document.
