Description
The "Stand for GBVP" project is a 6-day study visit to be carried out by the Terram Pacis organization in Norway for the employees of the Polish Youth Human Impact Association. The main objective of the project is the professional development of the youth workers of the Youth Human Impact Association for new competences, knowledge and skills in the field of work with young people using non-formal education methods to prevent gender-based violence, react to it and promote a culture of peace through non-violent communication in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. We decided to choose this topic due to the large percentage of women or LGBT + people in Poland experiencing various forms of violence and discrimination with a simultaneous shortage of educational resources in this topic and the new needs of our organization related to the development of a new strategy, which includes new initiatives for Polish youth. on counteracting violence and discrimination on grounds of gender. The project is the implementation of 2 priorities that guide the EEA Funds: "Development of a quality culture in the education sector, including internal quality assurance systems" and "Development of inclusive education". During the project implementation, activities will be carried out using non-formal education methods, i.e. workshops, team building games, simulations, brainstorming, discussions, debates or observing the work of Terram Pacis members. The organization from Norway will provide us with its good practices, experiences in working with young people, manuals, publications and workshop scenarios. Together, we will also consider how we can implement these practices in the work of our organization in Poland.
