Description
The project was prepared in order to raise the competences of the teaching staff of the Institute of Pedagogy of UMCS in Lublin in the area of Rudolf Steiner Pedagogy (based on the Norwegian model of education) and to intensify its further professional development. The project will make it possible to learn about the concept of Rudolf Steiner pedagogy (or Waldorf pedagogy), as well as the ways of using different program, methodological and organizational solutions. Important in the project is also the exchange of scientific ideas, which is the basic value in higher education, and the acquisition of additional knowledge and skills in the field of innovative, alternative educational solutions. The main idea of Waldorf pedagogy is the vivid cultivation of understanding of the essence of man and his development in connection with the world and society. The aim is to support the comprehensive development of a child, understood as the development of three spheres: thinking, feelings and will. Characteristic of the Waldorf pedagogy is the importance attached to artistic activities, as well as learning through practical action. The specificity of these schools is, among others: no grades, no textbooks, integrated education throughout the primary school (not only in the younger grades), and a characteristic daily rhythm. Thematic scope of the training: Alternative schools - Waldorf schools - the historical background and intentions of Rudolf Steiner; Anthroposophy. Rudolf Steiner''s spiritual teaching as an inspiration for education; Pedagogical authority in Waldorf schools, the role of the teacher; Waldorf Curriculum. Educational goals, tasks and content; Methodology and didactics of teaching in Waldorf schools; The spatial dimension of Waldorf education; Contemporary Waldorf Schools.
