Description

The visit aims at creating a system which allows to incorporate issues of child walfare education system in Iceland to the chosen faculties. Currently there are 3 faculties chosen, which will undergo such a  modification. Two employees of International Cooperation Department of the College of Enterprise and Administration will be the participants. They also have to be lecturers having classes with foreign students. Undertaken activities will lead to establishing a universal module, which applies to the following faculties: Pre-primary and Early School Pedagody, Sociology and post-graduate Remote Training in Education.  For the lecturers working on curricula modernisation there will be a training program and materials developed.  The methodology applied – encompasses workshops, case study and a project. Expected results: the staff prepared to work based on the new module, training material devoted to social childcare system in Iceland, cooperation and lecturers exchange plan. The project''s influence will be visible in modernization of curricula and the development of cooperation among the partners. Long term benefits will encompass students being able to take advantage of modernized curricula.

Summary of project results

The project will consist of a mobility preparatory stage, mobility realized according to the programme. The preparatory stage includes writing the application for a visit, in case of gaining the subsidy also signing the agreement with FRSE, signing the agreement with the hosting institution, confirming the period of visit, purchase of airline tickets, accommodation booking, purchasing insurance for the time of the mobility. Among taken actions were: plan to expand the education offer – working session with partner. Discussing current education programs for Pedagogy/ Early Childhood Education, level of internationalisation of the study program – presentation for partner. Social care for children in Iceland - workshop prepared by representatives of partner institution. Iscelandic model as exemplary model? Comparition with Polish model – brain storm. Concept design concerning transferring good practices of children social care system in Iceland into teaching programs at the University – international module – joint working session. Children’s social care in Iceland during pandemic – organizational issues in kindergardens and schools, principles of activity, security measures. Creating team supporting extension of education programmes at WSPA-tasks division. Working agenda after mobility, applying for funds for international exchanges for partner representatives, creatiing trainings for staff from chosen study programs.

Summary of bilateral results

Cooperation with the partner institution went well, adequate to the changing pandemic situation. The two institutions were in contact at all times and looked for the best time to carry out the visit-when pandemic strictures would allow the visit to take place peacefully and it would be possible to visit institutions worth seeing on such an occasion-kindergarten, school day care, etc.
