Description

The Forge of Talents Foundation operates at local, regional and national level; our institution implements training projects in the field of non-formal education and meets the current needs of learners; however, we do not have enough knowledge about similar foreign institutions'' activities and about the current training trends used abroad; we are aware that in order to be able to offer modern services to learners in our institution, it is necessary for our staff responsible for the coordination and implementation of training courses (including the staff responsible for efficient management, selection of appropriate tools, preparation of  training offers and training programs) to constantly develop their competences.
This project is the first step to launch the internationalization process of our institution and it aims to achieve the following goals: (i) verification and improvement of the practices and tools used in our foundation in the field of non-formal adult and youth education, (ii) development of professional, cultural and language competences of our foundation''s staff (with the focus on the management staff, including trainings'' coordinators), and providing them with the opportunity to compare/learn about practices/tools used by employees of a similar foreign organization (NGO), (iii) establishing collaboration with a similar institution from EEA countries, learning about its structure, educational offer, mission, working methods, good practices. In addition, we intend to use the capacity created during the study visit, for future projects.
These goals are expected to be achieved through the organization of a 4-day study visit in the non-profit institution Terram Pacis based in Oslo, Norway, operating in the field of non-formal youth and adult education.

Summary of project results

This project began the process of internationalization of the Sending Institution and allowed to achieve the following objectives: verification and improvement of existing practices and tools used by the Foundation in the field of non-formal education of adults and young people, development of professional, cultural and linguistic competencies of the staff, and providing familiarity with the tools used by the staff of a similar foreign organization (NGO). The Study Visit to Oslo - Terram Pacis, took place as scheduled. Preparations for the Visit included information and recruitment activities at the foundation, including the selection of participants for the visit in accordance with the participant profile and constant contact with the Host Organization. The Visit was conducted in a friendly atmosphere allowing for free exchange of knowledge and experience and ended with a summary in the form of evaluation questionnaires and preparation of a comparative analysis and implementation plan. The thematic area of the Visit met the needs of the participants (including the scope of their duties), and communication with the Host Institution was extremely smooth and professional. The Beneficiary reports that it intends to use the potential of the cooperation established during the Study Visit for future projects.

Summary of bilateral results

The cooperation was smooth and satisfactory. The flow of information was on a regular basis in the form of email exchanges. The visit itself was conducted in a pleasant and conducive atmosphere for the exchange of experiences. Communication with the Host Institution is extremely smooth and professional.
