Description
The project we want to implement is a typically educational project whose main aim is to get to known with the specifics of prison education in Iceland. We would like to have an opportunity to observe how prison educators work with adult prisoners in Iceland, what methods they use in their educational processes and most of all we would like to put emphasis on getting to know with formal and informal education opportunities that Icelandic inmates have. We plan to send out two persons who are representatives of the management of the association and who on a daily basis in Poland organize additional educational activities both for prisoners and prison educators, who work with the named above prisoners. We plan to take active part in educational activities as well as exchange good practices with colleagues, get to know with new prison education elements, which (as long as it is going to be possible) we will want to introduce on Polish grounds. We count that the observed techniques and formal/informal teaching methods will work out in Polish reality.
