The main goal of the project is to improve the professional competences of 4 people managing the Primary School in Częstochowa (headmistress, deputy headmistress, 2 liders of self-education teams) in the area of teaching education outside the classroom and effective school management. The goal will be achieved thanks to cooperation with St. Franciskus skole in Arenadl, Norway.
The applicant sees the need to undertake increased activities related to effective teaching and upbringing based on experience, observation and living. She is looking for work methods that would strengthen this area of the school''s activity. For this purpose, it is necessary to raise the competences of teachers. The second identified need of the applicant is effective management adapted to the changing working conditions.
During the four-day study visit of 4 people, participants will take part in various forms of exchange of experiences. Participants  have experience in the implementation of international projects, perform functions in the school related to its management and influence the creation of the offer, they are leaders of educational and preventive projects. The following forms of work will be used during the visit: workshops, job shadowing, mini-seminar, educational trip, lecture combined with a multimedia presentation. Participants from the applicant and the host Institution will be involved in activities during the study visit. It wil be beneficial to increase the competences of the participants of the study visit in the field of working with innovative methods outside the classroom door and effective management in accordance with the assumptions of the horizontal issue "good governance". Participants of the study visit together with participants from the Host Institution will together search for solutions aimed at achieving the goals set in the project.
 

Summary of project results

The goals of the project are: to increase the competence of the staff of both schools in the area of teaching education outside the classroom door and effective school management, to learn innovative methods of work, to create conditions for motivating the staff of both schools, to take advantage of contact with nature, space, to learn and develop new methods in school management in the face of the challenges of the times and in the spirit of the issue of good governance, to create conditions for cooperation between schools based on the principle of reciprocity of interactions. During the visit, project participants worked with various methods. They listened to lectures with presentations: on the Norwegian and Polish educational systems according to which the partner schools operate. The host organization organized a walk around the school, conducted classes in the spirit of education outside the classroom door in mathematics, and organized excursions in the area in terms of using the resources of the school''s immediate surroundings to conduct education outside the classroom door. These included nature lessons by the sea and in the township. The visit also included a session on school management, a meeting with school management, and a visit to the secretariat. The principles of management in Norwegian and Polish schools, pedagogical supervision, administration and financing were presented. The goals of the project were achieved. In connection with the implementation of the study visit, the professional competencies of 4 people who have an impact on the didactic offer of the school and the way it functions were raised.  Conducting classes using the outdoor method has been included in the school''s work plan for the school year 2022/23. Thanks to the project, the European dimension of the school has been strengthened, more teachers with great confidence in their own skills are using English.

Summary of bilateral results

The school gained a partner to conduct cooperation in various dimensions (at the level of management, teachers, students). During the visit, participants worked on developing a brochure to popularize project issues. During the session, tasks related to the dissemination of the project''s results were established and possibilities for continuing cooperation were discussed.
