The aim of the project is to stimulate new business plans, ideas and innovations of moms from Eastern Slovakia and to support their entrepreneurial skills. Another goal is to establish the brand TWO hands of moms as a tool to educate and inspire women on parental leave. The main activity of the project is creative workshops led by experts who will guide the target group through a creative process from idea to setting up their own businessThe project is a continuation of a successful project implemented in the 2nd call, while this time involving also mothers living in crisis intervention centers.

Summary of project results

The series of workshops continued the successful previous year project. It was intended for women - mothers from eastern Slovakia dependent on parental allowance, who are interested in entrepreneurship in the field of handmade creation, but do not have the opportunity to acquire practical skills or the necessary information. Project created an environment that would allow them to use their own skills with business potential. The realized workshops brought them closer to the reality of business and taught them new handmade techniques. Cooperation with Dorka Bags, n.o. was established, which offers the opportunity of employment in a tailoring workshop to mothers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Under the guidance of professional experts, the participants gained not only theoretical knowledge, but especially practical skills for their further work. 91 women – mothers actively participated in the workshops. Overall project goal was and still is to stimulate new business intentions, ideas and innovations from Eastern Slovakia, to support business skills and increase mothers self-confidence and entrepreneurship.
