Summary of project results

The community center was fully opened in the spring of 2022, but already in the year before that, the center was regularly visited, thereby compensating for the absence of civic amenities and establishing a cultural and community background.
Arousing interest in public events and identification with the locality - participation in the meetings of the settlement committee aroused interest mainly among the informal leaders of the community, in total there were 3 people who attended the meeting several times in a row. Identification with the locality was fulfilled by the participation of the target group in activities aimed at improving the public space of the housing estate, as well as by involvement in the works of the Libuš Neighborhood House serving the needs of the community.
Eliminating the effects of extreme poverty and the impossibility of satisfying existential needs in a high-quality way - food aid was being provided to the socially weakest residents of the housing estate, we increased the number of aid, especially by incoming Roma from war-affected Ukraine. We opened a community wardrobe and prepared spaces for clothes bazaars.
Breaking down the status of social exclusion in CS and mitigating racist tendencies in the form of activities taking place in the Libuše community center (for example, exhibitions, concerts, social games club) aims not only at members of the community, which we have strengthened with our project, but also at members of the majority society, who not only that they have the opportunity to experience the reality of life in an excluded locality on the spot, but also provided the locals with positive contact with the world outside the housing estate. From interviews with old settlers from
it follows from the ranks of the majority society living in the locality that they perceive the positive contribution of the created community center and the active participation of the locals in its creation. The community also took part in the national event "Clean up the Czech Republic", and the neglected part of the housing estate in Hamerská Street was also revitalized and we installed benches in the public area of the housing estate.
