Summary of the results
In Bergen, artists Bjørn Toske and Niggafox were initially introduced to Ambisonics technology by sound engineer Balint Laczko in the Ekko studio/room; in a class that focused on the technical (software) and also physical aspects of acoustics. Was created the sound piece that had been proposed to them and simultaneously spatialize it using the 16-speaker setup purposely installed. Once the music was finished, the initiative moved to Lisbon, where Filho Único rented the concert space at Galeria Zé Dos Bois and brought a suitable sound system for the purpose, which was set up by the Lourisom team, with the help of Balint Laczko. The next step was the inauguration of the installation, open to the public for several days. Following the installation, a panel was also held at Galeria Zé Dos Bois, moderated by Filho Único member Afonso Simões, who had accompanied the works in Bergen, and with the participation of the artists, Balint Laczko, and a Portuguese sound engineer Suze Ribeiro, who is considered one of the leading experts on the subject in PT. Then there was a visit to the space where there was a more practical and in loco explanation of what Ambisonics was, where there was a more informal exchange of information and questions about the initiative were answered.
Finally, a dj set took place with the 2 artists in the same space where the installation had happen. Months later, the installation was replicated in Bergen, as part of the Ekko Festival.
