Description

1. International conference Preventing violence against women in the Nordic countries: the conference shall be held as a part of the project implemented by The Nordic Council of Ministers on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. The conference will be focused on know-how exchange and sharing of best practices in prevention and fight against DGBV in Norway, on presenting the Istanbul Convention and its monitoring and reporting system by GREVIO. The applicant as well as its advisory body and programme guarantor – The Office of the Government shall benefit from

Summary of the results

Thanks to the initiative, three key outputs were achieved:

1) Participation in the international conference Preventing violence against women in the Nordic countries, which enabled the Programme Operator of the Human Rights programme and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic to familiarize themselves with the approach of the Scandinavian countries to prevent domestic and gender-based violence and protect its victims.

2) Establishment of the SYNERGY networking platform for intensive cooperation between the beneficiary countries of the EEA/Norway Grants and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of Norway in the matter of prevention and combating all forms of domestic and gender-based violence. The Progamme Operator and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic will further participate in this platform.

3) Communication of the Programme Operator''s interest in closer cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security in the preparation of the Human Rights programme.
