Description
The Project Promoter is a small sized, family company, located in Continental Croatia. Its main activity is production of metal boxes, while smaller portion of its production pertains to tailor-made products (e.g. profiles for car industry). An important part of the metal box production represents metal cutting. The company presently has one leased CO2 cutting machine which is placed in Project Promoter''s premises, but they also need to outsource some metal cutting work to external companies. The purchase of a new fiber laser cutting machine will enable the company to improve their production process (everything will be done in-house), increase the capacity to produce existing products, and diversify its products/services. The company will become more competitive and reduce their environmental footprint in the following way: improved working conditions, reduction of CO2 emissions (less transportation needed for cutting) and decrease of electricity consumption (more energy efficient machines). Two new jobs are expected to be created.
Summary of project results
Outputs: One Laser Fiber Cutting Machine purchased, installed and put into operation. This investment led to increased capacity of the Project Promotor, who is now capable of accepting new orders and increase its client''s base.
All project activities were carried out as planned, but within shorter period of time (that is, four months before the project end date).
Representatives of Innovation Norway visited Project Promotor for monitoring purposes during which PP showed new equipment and demonstrated the production process.
