Description

This project stems from a previously supported project for the preparation of an organisational needs assessment and action plan for ANIP. This project aims to empower ANIP through the use of training consultancy by improving its sustainability, financial management and communication and marketing procedures. The project includes support for the implementation of a financial management plan and a procedures manual, the creation of a business plan for ANIP’s training centre, the accreditation of the training centre by the CCPFC, and the enhancement of communication plans.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to address several critical issues identified in the 2019 Organizational Needs Diagnosis conducted by ANIP with external consultants. These included the need to strengthen organizational competencies, particularly in Financial Management and Communication and Marketing, which are essential across all value creation areas of ANIP.

The project sought to enhance financial solidity and sustainability, improve internal communication efficiency, increase ANIP''s external visibility, revise and update the external communication plan, to better disseminate ANIP''s activities and attract funding, clients, and members.

The diagnosis, involving 57 staff and leaders and 225 external stakeholders, highlighted the need to understand and incorporate management concepts to maximize operational efficiency and financial control, as well as to plan and manage finances to ensure service sustainability.

There was also a need to increase the profitability of the Training Center by creating a business plan and diversifying training areas, geographic coverage, and target audiences.

The implementation of the project began on June 1, 2021, and concluded on November 30, 2022, with all planned activities executed. The initial meeting on June 8, 2021, established the Project Team composed of 12 members, including 10 representatives from ANIP''s structures and 2 directors. A Support Team (ESP) of 4 members was formed to organize and prepare information for the Formative Consultancy (CF) sessions and monitor and evaluate the actions. A more restricted team of 6 members was created for the CF accreditation due to its specific process.

Various materials were created, including summaries, PowerPoint presentations, a project page on ANIP''s website, Facebook content, 7 posters, a video, and a photo archive.

A dissemination and sharing meeting was held on January 2022, and 7 initial team meetings were conducted. Over 18 months, 45 work and monitoring meetings were held by the Support Team. A final meeting on December 2022, shared the results with all collaborators, followed by a final seminar.

In the Financial Management component, 180 hours of consultancy were executed, resulting in a financial management plan, procedures manual, and business plan.

In the Communication and Marketing component, 289 hours of consultancy were executed, resulting in a communication and marketing plan, brand and identity manual, and communication tools portfolio.

Regarding the Acreditation and training Center, 323 hours of consultancy were executed, leading to the submission and approval of the accreditation process.

The External Evaluation component involved 6 meetings and resulted in 5 monitoring and evaluation reports.

In terms of results the project achieved significant outcomes, involving all 59 collaborators in the project''s activities through various dissemination methods, including Facebook, the website, team meetings, broader meetings, focus groups, and the sharing of co-created products. After the project''s start, additional collaborators were included in sessions, resulting in 17 trained elements instead of the initially planned 12. However, only 12 were considered fully trained as the others participated sporadically.

Active participation was noted in all consultancy sessions, with 13 elements, including 2 directors, primarily involved in financial management sessions, and up to 16 participants in some sessions.

In communication and marketing sessions, the project team and additional collaborators participated, ensuring at least 12 elements were trained.

Seven proposed products were co-created, with an additional product resulting from the Training Center approval and certification.

The project enhanced ANIP''s capacity in management and communication, making it less dependent on public funding and more visible and recognized for its work.
