Description

Drewdom is the only Polish manufacturer of furniture made of alder wood - the offer includes children’s, bedroom, dining room, bathroom and office furniture. The project results from the need to automate the production process in the company and to reduce a large amount of technological waste, which currently constitutes approximately 30% of the processed wood mass.  Its aim is to implement a new technological process of wood preparation for furniture production and create a product in the form of wood chips for mulch and cellulose production, produced from technological waste (wood chips which are currently used as fuel). We will achieve an environmental effect thanks to 100% recycling of production waste into chips and complete elimination of petrol consumption in the technological process (no combustion saws). The amount of processed waste is 1.725 tons per year. We are also planning to purchase and install photovoltaic panels, which will increase energy efficiency and reduce the company''s CO2 emissions by 36.31 tons.

The project includes the purchase of equipment forming a technological line for preparing raw material for furniture production, purchase of a 50 kW photovoltaic installation and consultancy services of a research unit that will develop the details of a new technological process.
