Description
The IFI-IFE bilateral initiative aims to prompt a long-standing scientific cooperation towards a common goal – advancing the scientific knowledge on magnetocaloric materials, which are the core of magnetic refrigeration. Driven by the Kigali Amendment (UN), which demands a 80-85% HFCs reduction by late 2040s, and the higher Carnot efficiency, magnetic refrigeration is expected to be one of the top alternatives to the actual HFCs-based technologies (nowadays, responsible for up to 17% of the total world energy consumption).
