Description

International law, including the Lanzarote Convention, stipulate that children have a right to assistance and child friendly justice. However, due to lack of coordination child victims often suffer from delayed and fragmented interventions, which can cause retraumatisation and delay the path to recovery and justice. The overall objective is to promote bilateral partnerships on child protection, child friendly justice and assistance to child victims of sexual abuse, with the specific aim of supporting the implementation of a Barnahus model in Portugal.
