Description

This initiative aims to enhance the knowledge and usage of Nursing Information Systems (NIS) as an integral part of the Electronic Health Records (EHR) in IS and NO, by implementing activities targeted to increase the understanding of the importance of the nursing electronic documentation process using the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP©), both in nursing education and professional practice. Summary of the results

With the development of this initiative, it was intended to stregthen the collaboration between the higher education institutions of nursing in Portugal, Iceland and Norway, increasing the research in EHR in nursing education and healthcare and promoting knowledge transfer between the three countries involved, promoting a sustainable policy of implementation in the three countries, by using nursing classifications and ontologies.
