INOX-STEEL which manufactures steel elements used in industry, construction, architecture, interior design and other sectors, faces customers’ expectations regarding complex production of conically bent elements which we cannot manufacture due to a lack of specialist equipment. At the same time, sheet metal forming is one of the most common processes carried out for industrial purposes, so the need to use subcontractors for those services results in decreased price attractiveness of our products and services, and the loss of some contracts in favour of our competitors.
The aim of the project is to implement production solutions which will enable the company to provide new services of rolling profiles and sheets, including cones, and combine it with a reduction in operating costs. We plan to equip the production building with energy-efficient machinery: bending machines, a hydraulic press brake and guillotine shears with a variable cutting angle. These innovations will reduce energy consumption by 62.24 MWh per year and CO2 emissions by 48.13 tonnes of CO2 per year. We expect a significant increase in sales and expansion of the existing customer group.
Summary of project results
The project was intended to solve issues related to increasing the company''s competitive potential by developing the company''s ability to provide services combined with reducing the company''s operating costs thanks to the production of products without the need for subcontractors. The project included the purchase of energy-saving machines that reduce grid energy consumption and thus CO2 emissions.
Through the implementation of the project, the Beneficiary was able to implement a new product (service) and improve the production process of profiles. The project goal was achieved with the help of specific objectives: implementation of a new production process without the participation of subcontractors using a new machine, increase in the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process, implementation of new energy-saving solutions, enabling the implementation of a larger range of services meeting customer requirements, increasing the competitiveness of final products, improving employment in the company by 1 full-time position, development of services and increase in revenues, increase in the level of sales, increase in the number of recipients of the services offered.
The project also promoted the use of Norwegian Funds.

As part of the project, the company''s activities were expanded in the field of sheet metal, pipe and profile processing. The company''s production building was equipped with energy-efficient machines, such as:
- CNC controlled hydraulic press brake,
- 4 roller sheet metal rolling machine,
- three-roller profile bending machine,
- laser cutting machine.
The implementation of new devices contributed to an increase in the level of sales of the services offered by the company and to the expansion of the group of profitable recipients. The company''s working conditions improved, its efficiency and independence increased by expanding its own machinery.
The project demonstrated a positive impact on the implementation of the principles of equal opportunities for women and men and non-discrimination, including accessibility for people with disabilities. During recruitment for new job positions, they were based on clear recruitment procedures and qualifications of people, without discriminating against people on the basis of gender, disability or other factors.
The project did not contribute to direct or indirect discrimination, in particular on the basis of gender, age, disability, race, religion, nationality, political beliefs, trade union membership, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation and on the basis of employment for a fixed or indefinite period or full-time employment. or part-time.
The principles of equality are also respected in relation to the provisions of the Act on the social security system. There were no specific limitations or barriers preventing or hindering their use by disabled people.
As a result, a new production process for profiles and pipes was implemented by using machines with better technical parameters. The cross-sectional size of the supported profiles has been increased while reducing the demand for electricity. In terms of the pipe processing process, the bending speed was increased while maintaining the same bending accuracy, the bending angle range up to 190 degrees while reducing electricity consumption.
As a result of the project, the processing capacity increased, the production process for profiles and pipes was modernized and new services were implemented to the company''s offer, which resulted in an increase in the number of works performed. Due to the increased number of services provided so far, two employees were hired.
As a result of the project, the competitive potential of the Inox-Steel company increased through changes in the company''s production process, implementation of new production solutions developing the company''s ability to provide new services, and the company''s operating costs were reduced. Moreover, sales levels increased.
