Description

The aim of the project is to activate the interest of citizens in local public affairs and to involve the public in solving public affairs. The main activity of the project is to involve citizens in dog watching activities and monitoring the legitimacy of the administration of public affairs by the management of the City of Český Těšín. Outputs of the findings then published on the Internet (websites, fb pages, social networks) and promoted in the local press and through printed promotional material for to subsequently involve the interested public in solving local problems in the form of petitions and questionnaires and the citizens'' own participations in the meetings of the representatives of the town of Český Těšín, in discussions and debates.

Summary of project results

The project had a direct impact on the activation of the citizens of the town of Český Těšín, who joined the citizens'' petition "Let''s save the magnolias, the
historic paving, let''s ask for information", which 669 citizens signed only in the e-version.
In addition to this active citizen participation, there was an increase in the number of citizens who regularly followed contributions made thanks to volunteers and
the PRO TĚŠÍN project on fb pages. There were more people who started to take an interest in and follow the activities of the project and the events at the town
hall of Český Těšín. Today the fb page PRO TĚŠÍN has 750 followers. The project also had an impact on the activation of city representatives, opposition
representatives of the City of Český Těšín, who, thanks to the activities of the project, got access to more detailed information and began to develop greater
political activity. A partnership was formed between the opposition political party NEZAVISLÍ, citizens and volunteers of the project PRO TĚŠÍN, who together
tried to fix problematic problems and solutions not only civilly, but also politically.
