Description

The project proposal covers part of the street lighting of Pazardzhik connected to a total of nine power points located on the following main streets - G. Benkovski Blvd., Gen. Gurko Street, Plovdivska Str., Kocho Chestimenski Str., Tsar Osvoboditel Str., Bulgaria Blvd., Stefan Stambolov Str. The project proposal includes the implementation of Energy Saving Measures (ESM) relating to: replacement of existing LVL and CFL lighting with LED lighting; introduction of Automation and Control System and Monitoring of electricity consumption from external lighting; and the introduction of a renewable energy facility for outdoor lighting in the city. The introduction of a Street Lighting Automation and Control System (ACS) and Consumption Monitoring (CM) will directly affect the energy savings of the street lighting system, thus further optimizing the cost of lighting maintenance and will create the opportunity to achieve additional savings in electricity. The introduction of RES to power the luminaires will provide an opportunity to: reduce conventional power consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated. The overall objective of the project proposal is to improve the lighting environment, reduce electricity consumption and reduce operating costs. The specific objectives of the project proposal are:

1. Improving the energy efficiency of street lighting and reducing electricity consumption from the street lighting system.

2. Maximize the time to accumulate energy losses, but without increasing the cost of maintaining network traffic.

3. Reduction of direct costs of the Municipality for street lighting with high quality of lighting provided.

4. Ensuring the safe movement of motor vehicles, increasing the safety of pedestrians during the dark hours of the day and creating a comfortable night atmosphere.
