Description

 The project proposal is integrated with and at the implementation stage will be respected the basic principles and values within the EEA 2014-2021, incl. good governance, sustainable development, gender equality and non-discrimination, zero tolerance for corruption.The main project''s goal is to improve the energy efficiency and of the quality of life in Varna municipality through Rehabilitation, modernization and construction of an intelligent system for management and monitoring of the street LED lighting and construction of autonomous Photovoltaic system in part of the Varna town. Specific goals: 1. To reduce energy and maintenance costs for street lighting 2. To improve the living conditions of the population and attractiveness of the municipality 3. To strengthen bilateral relations and partnership with the donor country and to increase the expertise of the municipal administration in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy management. The main target group are the residents of the town of Varna 475 074 people. Expected results: Reduced costs for street lighting with BGN 109 981,64 incl. VAT and the CO2 emissions with 714,02 tCO2. Strengthened bilateral relations and enhancing the expertise of municipal administration - conducted 2 round-tables and a study visit in Bulgaria and Norway. Provided better living conditions and increased the safety of traffic of motor vehicles and citizens, as a direct result of the modernized street lighting.
