Description
The project aims to partial reconstruction and revitalization of the historical park in Lednické Rovne – in order to prevent further degradation and irreparable damages to this cultural monument. Revenues generated by the restored monument e.g. historical park - through its permanent use and the realization of cultural activities. This will secure the financial funds for its sustainability. Renovation of the museum, organization of an opening exhibition of glass artworks from well- known Norwegian artists, souvenir shop with a selection of glass products, attractive excursions to the glass factory or international glass symposium with the participation of Norwegian artists will contribute to promoting the local tradition of glass art as one of the pillars of the village´s history.
Project implementation via cultural events will strengthen the cooperation with local cultural players, local service providers, and other local stakeholders with the aim to provide a wide range of services to the visitors.
The project will also create space for the involvement of local craftsmen and implementation through cultural events will contribute to the involvement of minorities in the cultural life of the municipality.
Summary of project results
The project dealt with the restoration / revitalization of the historical park in Lednické Rovne (national cultural monuments with high priority of protection) and restoration of the building - premises of the Glass Museum and Gallery. All those activities were conducted with the aim of the developing the place for meetings and events dedicated for local communities as well as for the tourists and visitors of the park. The historic park has a long history and it was in the running state, so the core activitiy of the project was to revitalize the historic park and restoration of the sidewalks within particular parts of the park. The the reconstruction of the Glass Museum and Gallery was carried out by the Slovak project partner RONa. The vision and challenge of the project was to have the park as the place for the meetings and events dedicated to the local people as well as tourists and visitors.
The project dealt with the restoration of the historical park in Lednické Rovne (national cultural monuments with high priority of protection). The main activities of the project was the revitalization of the historic park which began by the cutting of old, diseased and invassive trees, planting of new composition of trees and restoration of the sidewalks within particular parts of the park. The reviatization of the historic park was completed by the building of park lighting as well as installation of camera system in the park. The associated project activity implemented by the partner RONA was the reconstruction of the Glass Museum and Gallery. The promoter implemented also the restoration of the nave of the church. Soft project activities included the organization of international Symposium "RONA 2022" with the participation of Norwegian artists Aesa Bjork, Tuva Gonsholt and Ina Kristine Hove and their artistic objects have been installed in the park. Many of other events have been organised in the park during the project implementation. They have been dedicated to the local community and focused on the children and youths, families as well as general public - Concert in Park, Day of the Parks and Gardens, Day of the Jewish and Roma Culture etc.
All planned activities were carried out in the park. Based on the revitalization works, the park has become significantly more attractive place both for the visitors and the local communities. Thanks to the restoration of the premises of the Glass Museum and Gallery, more visitors and tourists are currently comming to Lednické Rovne and to this Glass Museum and Gallery. Within the project, one permanent new job of the gardener has been created directly by the municipality of Lednické directly. Another new job within Glass Museum and Gallery has been created by the partner RONA. The project of the revitalization of the historic park brought many visitors to the village and they consequently are using local tourism services. The higher number of visitors are using local accomodation and related services and it promotes the developement of the local tourism.
Summary of bilateral results
The municipality established a partnership with the Norwegian partner -S12 design studio. Based on this partnership, AEsa Bjork from Norway created an artwork that was installed in the park. Tuva Gonsholt and Ina Kristine Hove installed their artistic objects also, both installations have increased the number of the visitors in the park.
