Description

The building is located in the oldest heart of the old town where the city centre was first located in the 16th-17th century. Later, the city centre was relocated to its current spot where the city hall, weighing house, Laurentius Church and other buildings are. Possibly, Tolli 4 is one of ten buildings that survived the Russian army raid back in 1710 (the historical records have established that only 10 stone houses were not burnt). Other similar buildings from the 17th century were already assigned the status of cultural monuments (e.g. market building, weighing house, and city hall) during Soviet times.

As a result of renovation of Tolli 4, the entire building has been orientated towards public use, i.e. the ratio of public usage is 100%.

Activities in the building support local life and allow the local community members as well as visitors from nearby and further away to participate in different seminars, workshops, health services, and healthy food all year round - 1) a café opened; 2) retreats, training, camps, courses offered, 3) different therapies offered.
