Description

The project consists in the elaboration of technical documentation for streets rehabilitation in Moldova Noua area. The technical documentation for streets rehabilitation will be further used by the project promoter as part of other financing application  to be submitted in order to finance the investment works.

The quality of life of the population from disadvantaged area Moldova Noua, identified as marginalized area in the Atlas of Marginalized Urban Areas in Romania, is very low. One main cause is the poor state of the road infrastructure, most of them are paved with stone or without pavement. The project aims to improve the quality of life of the population from disadvantaged area Moldova Noua, by rehabilitating the roads in the TCMM marginalised area of Moldova Noua town. On long term, the project contributes to increasing the equal access to inclusive and quality social services for the members of the marginalized group living in Moldova Noua area. Rehabilitation of these streets will reduce the physical distance between the marginalized community and the rest of the community, providing more people with easier access to opportunities (jobs, education, health, culture), as well as providing companies with easy access to the workforce.

The identified target group consists of a community of 550 Roma people. They live in areas known as the TCMM area located around Uzinelor Street in Moldova Noua and indirect beneficiaries of the future investment are all the inhabitants of Moldova Noua, around 12350 inhabitans
