Description

The main objective of the project is to increase the comfort and the sustainable energy efficiency for two public schools in Târnăveni: The House of Culture „Mihai Eminescu” and Theoretical High-school “Andrei Bârseanu”.
The technical solution includes thermal insulation of the external walls, replace the old external windows and doors with efficient ones and replace the roof structure. The heat plants will be replaced with boilers for better efficiency and the old radiators will be replaced. The project also proposes to replace the current lighting system with LED technology in order to increase efficiency. Instead of using gas boilers for hot water, a solar thermal collector system will be installed to replace the old system. Key activities of the project include:

  • External consultancy to handle the technical aspect and the financial audit.
  • Investments related to the modifications.
  • Project management.
  • Project publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

Expected outcomes include a reduction of energy consumption by 906.72 MWh/year. CO2 emission is expected to reduce annually by 206 tonnes.
