Persons with dependence on certain substances, homeless persons face difficulties with integration in society. Their skills and working capacity are low and it is difficult for them to enter labour market. Only complex assistance measures after long-term rehabilitation can successfully help them integrate and deal with relapses. Community self-support houses "Kelkis and "Geru pokyciu centras" provide to these target groups accommodation and social skills development services, however, there is no system and specialist who would enable the persons to make decisions in their career. At the moment, part of people do not work or do not have a choice and work works randomly, regardless of personal skills. The project aimed at enabling the residents of community self-support houses "Kelkis" and "Geru pokyciu centras" to change their lives.

A new service, intended to satisfy the needs of vulnerable people, was introduced - education for career. Persons with dependencies at the community rehabilitation centre received complex help: development of general skills, social help and development for a career. The persons were enabled to plan their career with the help of a specialist, developed individual career plans, took responsibility for its implementation. Change in knowledge, skills and emotions levels were developed. Trainings and seminars, an informational-educational event for the surrounding community, as well as ‘Open door day‘ in a communal house for community were organized.

Persons at the community rehabilitation centre acquired general and social skills, participated in individual and group sessions on developing emotional literacy, responsibility, conficence, decision-making and conflict management. They developed plans for a career after the rehab and prepared their CVs, motivational letter, learned to participate in a job interview.
