OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the project is to organize of the 14th edition of Suwałki Blues Festival - the largest blues music festival in Poland.
OPERATIONAL GOALS:
- Audience building activities
- Implementation of new forms of festival promotion
- Promotion of Norwegian and Lithuanian blues music in Poland.
- Promotion of the festival and Polish blues music in Norway.
EVENTS:
- Organization of a four-day blues music festival.
- Organization of 26 concerts of blues music performed by Polish, Norwegian and Lithuanian musicians.
- Implementation of the Polish Blues Challenge 2021 competition.
- Organization of workshops for young people with the participation of professional musicians from Poland and Norway and a joint concert.
- Organization of classes and musical games for the youngest during the festival in the zone Blues sandbox.
- Participation of two bands from Poland in the Norwegian blues festival.
- Recording a CD with music from Suwałki Blues Festival promoting the project and artistic achievements of artists from Poland and Norway.
- Training for the management of the Suwałki Cultural Center.
Summary of project results
The biggest isuue was a pandemic of Covid 19 and relted prohibitions.
Activities within the project: 4- days festival of blues in Poland - Suwałki Blues Festival, workshops, animations for children.
Theres were 64 artistic activieties made for 35 000 public audience. among them were: citizens, torurists, artists, journalists.
Summary of bilateral results
After a break of several years, this year a delegation of blues bands from Norway hosted the Suwałki Blues Festival 2022 again, as part of the Suwałki Blues Festival project. As part of this project, two bands from Poland performed at Nottoden - Gary Moore Tribute Band, whose two club concerts at the Bellman Pub gathered a group of listeners, and Trip Blues Duo, which presented its original program twice on the Gateblues and Book Blueshouse stages.
