Summary of project results

In the third trimester of 2020, the most serious and unprecedented problem during the implementation of the project was the situation caused by the Sars virus pandemic Cov-2 and significant administrative and sanitary restrictions related to this situation, including, above all, serious restrictions regarding traveling and organizing cultural and educational events.

The axis of the project is the development of international cooperation between two film festivals: WAMA Film Festival in Olsztyn (Poland) and AMANDUS Lillehammer International Student Film Festival (Norway). The distinguishing features of both ventures are the following criteria:- presentation of valuable cinema made by young filmmakers;- taking active actions regarding audience development, including improving audience competencescontemporary audiences;- program profiling around activities promoting international creative cooperation and international co-productionsfilm;- the presence of many events in the program related to the development of the film market and international promotion of achievementsnational cinematography and the sale and distribution of films on foreign markets.

In addition, the project plans to organize cultural events in both countries, open to the general public, a program of study visits enabling closer Polish-Norwegian cooperation between individual institutions and a training program for young filmmakers on international production, sales, promotion and film distribution, which has a chance to contribute to opening both cinematography to joint co-productions.

A total of 57 artistic projects were carried out as a result of cooperation with the partner. Number of recipients of cultural and artistic events - 442 (In the third trimester of 2021, 176 people took part in screenings, workshops and meetings with experts in Lilehammer, 212 people in events planned as part of the project in Olsztyn, and 54 people in the event in Warsaw). Number of people (artists, specialists) involved in the project - 16. Number of trained professionals - 40 (workshops were prepared for 40 young filmmakers from Poland and Norway during the Amandus Film Festival in Lillehammer (Norway) and the WAMA Film Festival in Olsztyn (Poland); in 20 participants from both countries took part in each module)

Summary of bilateral results

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the long-term pilot partnership will enable the development of more complex projects with an even wider impact. The cooperation of festival organizational teams and planned study visits will contribute to establishing deeper acquaintances between cultural managers and experts from the audiovisual industry and initiating new cultural activities between Poland and Norway in the following years.
